Spam-free emailing : a dream (finally) come true ?

It was a surprise to many as the French post office launched a new online service at thebeginning of the month. A service far from traditional mail delivery as known and often criticized in France (just like me, I bet many of you will identify to Jennie). A service aimed at accounting for a significant change in the management of the french post office, using the Internet in order to offer new services with a “modern” touch. A service described by Jean-Paul Bailly, La Poste chairman and CEO, as “an essential element of our strategy of innovation”. He goes further, declaring that Digiposte, the new service, “should become a standard at a time when La Poste knows the mutation highest in its history”.
Basically, Digiposte is “a secure digital mailbox, an electronic safe and a box of sharing”… Even better : the box “will not spammable” asserts Jean-Michel Dial, director of Internet business mail…
As a PR consultant with years of experience in the IT security field, I can only ask : is that service a utopic fantasy or a web possibility finally come true ? If so, I know many professionals who will be delighted and ready to pay for a Digiposte account !
I love the Spam picture!!! How is this going to be different from regular email though? I mean how are they cutting out the Spam?
Ahah the French Post Office launching email services… They should try to sort out mail delivery first… As for how it works… They didn’t explain much !

Mmmhhh i’ll vote for utopia :)
Spam exists almost since the beginning of emails.
One thing that worries me now is what we call “bacon”, or all the alerts emails that clutter your inbox :

In fact, we might just love spam so much that when we get rid of it, we turn to bacon … too bad for email veggies :)
